Each time I sat down to write an email, I started with two sections: Subject line and Body copy.
For the past two weeks, I’ve included an extra one: Value tip.
What I do is, before even coming up with the subject line or the idea for the email, decide on one valuable tip. I still use stories and infotainment in emails and curiosity in the subject lines (kudos to @Ben Settle for his teachings) but this extra section has given me a spike in sales.
For example, let’s say I’m writing an email to my weight loss list. The valuable tip was about the necessity of protein in your diet when losing weight. Then, I made sure to talk about why it’s important, what other people are doing wrong and even when it’s a good idea to increase it.
Of course, I never gave away the exact number of protein needed.
In order to find out how much they need to be eating, they should sign up for my services.
From what I understand, the people on my list who have been reading me for some time, respond more after adding this section.
Just some healthy food for thought…
Till next time,
